Policies:
Academic Probation:
Students failing to maintain a minimum pass of D (40-69) are placed on academic probation at the beginning of the following semester. The student will remain under academic probation for no longer than one semester or until such time as the Principal deems that the quality of work meets the minimum pass of D. At the end of the semester, the Principal will determine if the student should continue or be dismissed for unsatisfactory progress. It will be necessary for that student to earn a semester average of D (40-49) to be taken off probation. After dismissal, a student may request re-admission by writing a letter to the Dean who will determine if the request should be granted.
Bethel Faith Spark Bible College places great emphasis on character. Christian standards of conduct are expected of all students. The student's registration is regarded as consent to abide by the rules of the college, which are listed in the Student Handbook. Any consistent disregard of rules by a student will be dealt with by the Principal and his decision as to discipline, suspension, or dismissal will be final.
Student Record
The student's academic file is handled in a confidential manner. Every effort is made to make records available to students within a reasonable amount of time.
Credit Hour
Each class hour consists of 50 minutes. It shall be equal to one credit hour of a semester. An average of eighteen semester hours of study shall be the academic load of the student.
Class Attendance
Students are required to attend all classes without fail. However if a student is unable to attend class for un-avoidable reasons, the student must present a letter stating the reason of absence. If a student is late to a class more than 3 times it shall be counted as one day absent. Each un-excused absence will deduct 3 percentage points from the student’s final grade. Absence of over ten percent may disqualify the student for participation in the examination.
All students are required to attend and participate in chapel services, seminars, crusades and special meetings which are conducted for the enrichment of students’ spiritual lives.
